D3-DD Dual Battery System
Plug-n-Play Dual Battery Kit for a D3
$615.00
There is no other dual battery setup that can charge batteries quicker than our systems do. Combined with up to 50% of the cranking batterys capacity, this gives you at least 100Ah of usable capacity to run your accessories while camping.
If you use all the capacity available, you will have both batteries back over a 95% charged state in less than a 90 minute drive. With any other system you would need at least 130Ah of auxiliary battery capacity, whether it is lead acid batteries or lithium batteries, and you would need a DC/DC device to charge these batteries. Even if you use a 50 amp DC/DC device, you would need to drive for at least 3 to 4 hours to get these batteries back over a 95% charged state.
Features: D3-DD kit Plug-n-Play setup, specifically designed for DIY installation. All cabling is cut to length and all terminals are pre-installed. The cabling is designed to be installed inside the D4 cab.
The cabling is NOT run down along the chassis, as most so-called experts do. This is very important with a D3 and D4, because some of the services need to have the body lifted off to access the motor or turbo. The Body-Off operation will tear out any cabling run down the chassis and can damage panelling in the rear cargo area if cabling is run up into the area to power the socket in the rear.
This kit includes all pre-assembled cabling and hardware needed, to carry out a complete dual battery installation, except the battery. Supplied with the DT90 dual battery isolator specifically wired for a D3 installation. The kit includes boots and hold down bracket to house a 60Ah auxiliary battery in the driver’s side battery compartment.
Price includes postage in Australia.
