DISCOVERY 4 Dual Battery Kit  D4-1U - $470.00

There are no other types of Discovery 4 Dual Battery kits that offer anywhere near the operating and charging advantages that our D4 kits achieve.

The D4-1U is a HIGH CURRENT version of the standard Cranking Battery to Auxiliary Battery Plug-N-Play kit, specifically produced for a Discovery 4 and late model Range Rover Sports.

Again, like the SC80-LR, once this USI-160 kit is installed, and operated in SHARED mode, the auxiliary battery will actually assist in charging the cranking battery and within a few weeks of installing this kit, depending on your driving habits, your cranking battery will be raised to and maintained at a higher State of Charge.

Because of the unique way the USI-160 ( in SHARED Mode )  operates, you will have a total 90Ah of usable accessories power available, and with any other type of isolator, you will need to fit a 115Ah auxiliary battery in the rear cargo area to achieve the same amount of useable accessories capacity.

So this kit will save you money, weight and space over any other D4 dual battery set up.

For full details on how SHARED mode works and other USI-160 features, see the USI-160 page.

The USI-160 is a Heavy Duty 160 amp ( continuos rated ) isolator, specifically designed to be used both as an Isolator and to link batteries together while winching, plus it has an Emergency Jump Start feature.

SOLAR and BATTERY CHARGER Connections.

Again, with the unique way the USI-160 operates in the SHARED Mode, you can connect solar panels ( via a solar regulator ) or a battery charger to either battery in an SC80 dual battery set up and all batteries will recharged.

If you have an Anderson plug mounted at the back of your vehicle, you can make your solar or battery charger connection through the Anderson plug and again, all batteries in an SC80 dual battery set up will be charged.

But if you have a specific need to only charge your Auxiliary Battery, then by selecting IGNITION Mode and connecting the solar panels or battery charger to the Auxiliary Battery, you will be able to charge it, while the Cranking battery remains isolated.
